We collect data through direct interactions with our clients, including meetings, communication via email, phone, Teams and Zoom, and through our website, https://compassphilanthropy.com.  

We undertake searches for publicly available contact information in order to establish relationships with new clients and to ensure we maintain accurate records for business purposes. 


2. Use of Information 

a. Purpose: 

The collected information is used for: 

Philanthropy consultancy services 

Client communication 

Adherence to HMRC guidelines for PAYE and VAT 

Compliance with other legal obligations 


3. Data Security 

We implement robust security measures to safeguard client data, including encryption, access controls and regular security audits. 

a. Information Sharing 

Client information is not shared with third parties without explicit consent unless required by law. 

In cases of subcontracting within CPC projects, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements are in place with all associates. 

b. Data Retention 

We retain client data only for the duration necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy, or as required by legal or contractual obligations.  Once projects are fully signed off, we destroy all client data and, where applicable, ask clients to remove our accounts in their systems. 

c. Client Rights 

Clients have the right to access, correct, or delete their personal information. Requests for such actions can be submitted to ruth@compassphilanthropy.com.  

d. Consent 

By engaging with CPC, clients consent to the collection, processing, and storage of their personal information as outlined in this policy. 

e. Changes to the Privacy Policy 

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in legal requirements, business practices, or technological advancements. Clients will be notified of any significant changes.
